SAS Scandinavian Airlines (SK, Copenhagen Kastrup) has ordered 30 A320neos at the Paris Air Show for deliveries between 2016 and 2019 and in addition plans to lease an undisclosed number of A320-200s as well as five B737-800s and twelve B737-700s from GECAS to replace its B737-400/-500 and MD-82/MD-87 fleets by 2016. The A320neos will then replace the fleet of A319-100s, A320-200s and A321-200s based in Copenhagen. SAS is planning to have its Airbus narrowbody fleet based in Copenhagen Kastrup and its B737NG fleet in Stockholm Arlanda and Norway. It is reportedly also considering ordering smaller jets with a capacity of 120 to 145 seats. SAS has entered into a bilateral codeshare agreements with Star Alliance partners Aegean Airlines (A3/Athens), ANA - All Nippon Airways (NH/Tokyo Haneda), EgyptAir (MS/Cairo) and Singapore Airlines (SQ/Singapore Changi) offering more services between Scandinavia and Cyprus, Egypt, Greece, Japan and Singapore and beyond. It also cooperates with Rossiya (FV/St. Petersburg) on the Stockholm Arlanda-St. Petersburg route served by both carriers and the Copenhagen Kastrup-St. Petersburg route served by itself only. SAS will however give up its Lulea-London Heathrow route on August 6. SAS has retired its last Fokker 50s on October 31, 2010 also ending an era of turboprop aircraft being operated by SAS. The Norwegian government is considering selling its 14.29% stake in SAS Scandinavian Airlines.
