Air Premia (YP, Seoul Incheon) has signed longterm lease agreements with Air Lease Corporation covering three B787-9s with deliveries to take place in July, September, and November of 2020.

In January, Air Premia said it had signed a Letter of Intent (LOI) with lessors for a total of five B787-9s. According to an airline press release, the aim is to induct a total of ten B787-9s by 2024.

The start-up recently secured its international air transport licence from the South Korean Ministry of Land, Transport and Maritime Affairs (MLTMA) in March and is now proceeding with its Air Operator's Certificate (AOC).

The carrier plans to fly to Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi Noi Bai International in Vietnam, Tokyo Narita and Osaka Kansai in Japan, and Hong Kong International during Year I (2020) of operations while in Year II (2021), it plans to roll out intercontinental service to San José, US and Vancouver International in North America, Berlin Tegel and Munich in Germany, and Cairns in Australia.
