Gulfstar Airways (Long Beach) is planning to launch subscription-based, members-only, scheduled operations in California, Nevada, and Arizona in the second half of 2019.

The start-up said in a press release that it plans to initially connect Burbank, Long Beach, Santa Barbara, CA, San José, US, Oakland International, Las Vegas Harry Reid, and Scottsdale in autumn 2019. It will operate a fleet of four E135s configured for up to 16 passengers with up to 10 daily scheduled roundtrips.

"Operating jet aircraft will offer easy expansion with reduced time enroute to other markets like Portland, Seattle, Salt Lake City and even Texas, avoiding congested hubs in favor of smaller airports," the carrier said.

Gulf Star Airways is planning to use private terminals and offer an app-based booking service for a monthly fee starting at USD2,495 per month.
