Union Aviation (UAG, Riga) has been granted an Air Transport Licence (ATL) in Latvia as a new business charter operator, the state-owned LETA news agency has reported.
The start-up was founded by Amber Jet Group, a Latvian aviation consultancy that owns a 49.9996% stake, Latvian financial holding Mono LLC, and Spanish charter broker Taurus Jet (each with a 25.0002% stake). It was incorporated in February 2021 with a start-up capital of EUR500,000 euros (USD576,000).
According to its website, Union Aviation currently operates five aircraft: two Legacy 650s, one Legacy 600, one Gulfstream G150, and one Piaggio Avanti EVO. All of them are registered in Estonia. The most recent update of the Estonian aircraft register, dated October 27, 2021, lists only four of them (except for one of the Legacy 650s), all of them operated by Panaviatic.
The start-up reportedly plans to expand its fleet but did not provide any details to LETA.
