Aer Lingus (EI, Dublin International) is reportedly considering moving its operations in Northern Ireland from Belfast International to Belfast City according to a report by the BBC. Aer Lingus currently has two A319-100s and an A320-200 based at Belfast International. Belfast City airport had recently lost one of its main customers after low-cost carrier bmibaby (Nottingham East Midlands) has closed its base there. British Airways (BA, London Heathrow) (taking over from bmi british midland (Nottingham East Midlands)), flybe. (2002) (Exeter) and Manx2 (Isle of Man) currently serve Belfast City while Aer Lingus, easyJet (London Luton), Jet2 (United Kingdom) (LS, Leeds/Bradford), Thomas Cook Airlines UK (Manchester), Thomson Airways (London Luton) and United Airlines (UA, Chicago O'Hare) operate from Belfast International.
