PSI Air 2007 (CM, Angeles City Clark International) has withdrawn an application for a US foreign air carrier's permit, which would have allowed it to operate daily widebody freighter flights between the Philippines and the United States.

In a June 6 filing with the US Department of Transportation (DOT), legal counsel for PSI Air 2007 withdrew its September 14, 2022, application. It did not provide any reason for the withdrawal, and DOT records do not reveal any objections from competitors or pushback against the application. ch-aviation has approached PSI Air 2007 for comment.

PSI had proposed using a B777-200 to operate cargo and mail flights from Manila Ninoy Aquino International and/or Clark Airport, to Ontario International and/or Chicago O'Hare. The application noted that, at the time, there were no direct dedicated freighter flights on the Philippines - US country pair. It also sought permission to operate flights between the Philippines and the US via a several third-party countries in Asia, the Middle East, and Europe.

At the time, the airline said it had secured a B777-200 to operate the US flights, identified as RP-C7110 (msn 27728). ch-aviation fleets data notes that the aircraft is former Thai Airways International (TG, Bangkok Suvarnabhumi) stock and was withdrawn from service in late 2020. Since then, the aircraft has remained in long-term parking at Bangkok's Suvarnabhumi Airport despite its switch to the Filipino aircraft registry in August 2021.

According to ch-aviation data, PSI Air 2007 is operating one B737-300(QC), with another inactive B737-300(F) presently undergoing maintenance at Clark Airport. PSI Air 2007 describes itself as one of the "leading" air freight companies in the Philippines, offering ground support equipment, training, maintenance, and air cargo flights.
