SkyUp Airlines (PQ, Kyiv Boryspil) has completed its Foreign Air Carrier FAR129 certification and is now authorised to deploy four B737-800s on ACMI and charter operations to and from the United States.

The airline did not reveal any specific plans but said it is planning to grow in the US. The authorisation covers UR-SQB (msn 40153), UR-SQC (msn 40146), UR-SQF (msn 40151), and UR-SQP (msn 33029). SkyUp Airlines operates three more B737-800s and two B737-700s, the ch-aviation fleets module shows. Sister carrier SkyUp MT (U5, Malta International), which is not covered by the US FAR129 certificate, operates one more B737-800.

The Ukrainian carrier, once operating as a leisure-focused LCC, transitioned into an ACMI/charter specialist after the Russian invasion of Ukraine in February 2022 and the subsequent closure of Ukrainian airspace. Its made its US debut in April 2023, when its B737-800 was used as a Prime Ministerial transport for a visit to the US and Canada.
