Gambia Bird (Banjul) CCO Karsten Balke has confirmed October 15 as the launch date for the first Gambia Bird flights. It initially plans to operate four weekly flights from Banjul to Dakar Yoff-Léopold Sédar Senghor International, twice weekly services via Freetown and Monrovia Roberts to Lagos and weekly services from Banjul via Conakry to Accra, to Barcelona El Prat and London Gatwick as well as between Freetown and London Gatwick with its single A319-100 D-ASTA (c/n 4663) wet-leased from parent Germania Express (Berlin Schönefeld).
