Delta Air Lines (DL, Atlanta Hartsfield Jackson) retired its last CRJ200ER from its regional network on December 1, 2023, slightly later than previously expected, as it upgauges flights to larger two-class regional jets.

The last flight from Elko to Salt Lake City was operated by N496CA (msn 7791) by SkyWest Airlines (OO, Salt Lake City). The aircraft is owned by the regional capacity provider, the ch-aviation fleets ownership module shows.

The 50-seaters were the last remaining type in Delta Connection's fleet configured in a single-class layout. Following the retirement of the CRJ200s, the carrier's regional fleet comprises CRJ700s, CRJ900s, E170s, and E175s operated by SkyWest Airlines, Republic Airways (YX, Indianapolis International), and Delta's Endeavor Air (9E, Minneapolis St. Paul International) subsidiary. Endeavor Air ended its CRJ200s in May 2023.

SkyWest Airlines continues to operate eighty-five CRJ200s on behalf of United Airlines (UA, Chicago O'Hare). Thirteen more have already been transferred to a new subsidiary, SkyWest Charter (CW), and reconfigured into a 30-seat layout.
