B&H Airlines (Sarajevo) has attracted little interest from potential investors according to a report by EX-YU Aviation News with so far only Turkish charter carrier Tarhan Air (Istanbul Atatürk) (which had last operated in 2007) and low-cost carrier AirAsia (AK, Kuala Lumpur International) declaring their interest in a 49% stake put up for sale by the government of Bosnia-Herzegovina. Turkish Airlines (TK, Istanbul Airport) had previously held the minority stake in the national carrier but had handed it back following long arguments with the government over the strategic direction and further investments in the carrier. Previous reports about declarations of interest from Buraq Air (UZ, Tripoli Mitiga) and Croatia Airlines (OU, Zagreb Franjo Tuđman) have been denied by Enver Bijedić, the country's transportation and communications minister.
