Private jet operator Alerion Aviation (Long Beach) has opened a new 18,000 square foot (1,700 sqm) hangar and office facilities at Miami Opa-Locka Airport, paving the way for an upgrade of the carrier's service offerings and operational capabilities in the South Florida region.

Alerion Aviation's president and CEO, Bob Seidel, says the operator continues to extend its footprint across key US markets, adding: "The new facilities not only allow us to enhance our service quality and operational efficiency but also demonstrate our commitment to meeting the growing demands of our clients in the South Florida area."

Alerion already has bases at Long Beach and Farmingdale (New York), from which it operates a fleet of 14 heavy, super-mid-sized, and mid-sized jets, including one Challenger 300, two Cessna 680 Sovereigns, one Cessna 750, one Gulfstream G200, three GVII-G500s, one Global 5000, and two Legacy 600s.

Alerion Aviation operates as Air Rutter International LLC as a Part 135 carrier.
