Business jet charter operator Penske Jet (Pontiac Oakland County International) has acquired its first Bombardier CRJ200ER, according to ch-aviation research. The aircraft, N501LS (msn 7584), transferred to Penske from VS Service (Columbus John Glenn, OH) on May 21, 2024.
Penske Jet is a division of Penske Corporation. According to Federal Aviation Administration data, Penske also owns a Bell Helicopter 427. The ch-aviation fleets module shows Penske also manages several other aircraft, including a Challenger 800, three Gulfstream G280s, and one G550.
Penske Corporation, headed by Roger Penske, is a longstanding user of business jets. Historical profile pieces of the founder suggest he uses two on a regular basis, including the G550 for overseas and international business travel.
