Virgin America (San Francisco) and Airbus (AIB, Toulouse Blagnac) have come to an agreement to slow down the delivery of new A320-200s to the airline. The two parties have agreed that Virgin America will only take delivery of 10 instead of 30 additional A320-200s with deliveries scheduled for 2015 and 2016. The delivery positions of the 30 A320-200neos Virgin America has on order have been delayed to 2020 to 2022. This will allow Virgin to significantly slow down its growth rate as well and is part of a plan to finally making Virgin America profitable.
