Garuda Indonesia (GA, Jakarta Soekarno-Hatta) CEO Emirsyah Satar has told Aviation Week that the Skyteam member was currently evaluating a replacement order for the two B747-400s Garuda uses on routes from Jakarta to Denpasar and Jakarta Soekarno-Hatta. Both the A380-800 and B747-8 are under evaluation although Garuda is also considering not replacing the aircraft given its current issues of not being able to profitably operate the B747-400s with the exception of the Hajj pilgrimage season each year.
