Shenzhen Airlines (ZH, Shenzhen) is now expected to officially join Star Alliance on November 29 as the alliance's second Chinese carrier after Shenzhen Airlines majority shareholder Air China (CA, Beijing Capital) which holds 51% in the new alliance member. Shenzhen Airlines operates 5 A319-100s, 53 A320-200s, 2 B737-300s, 4 B737-700s, 49 B737-800s and 5 B737-900s from its homebase and bases at Guangzhou, Nanjing, Nanning, Shenyang Taoxian International and Wuxi. It is predominantly a domestic carrier only serving Hong Kong International, Macau International, Osaka Kansai, Seoul Incheon, Singapore Changi and Taipei Taoyuan outside mainland China.
