Iberia Express (I2, Madrid Barajas) and Vueling Airlines (VY, Barcelona El Prat) will not be merged if International Airlines Group is able to successfully increase its stake in Vueling to 100% through its takeover offer it has recently launched. IAG has denied such reports saying both carriers operate different business models and would continue to do so separately.
