Toki Air (BV, Niigata) has moved its first ATR42-600, JA03QQ (msn 1618), from Okinawa Naha to Niigata ahead of entering it into service. In an April 3 statement, it said it would use the ATR - Avions de Transport Régional turboprop for charter flights, as a replacement aircraft, and future scheduled flights to Sado Shima. The ATR42 has been in Japan since December but Toki Air has delayed deploying it. The carrier currently flies two ATR72-600s between five Japanese airports, Niigata, Kobe, Nagoya Chubu, Sapporo Okadama, and Sendai.
