Qantas (QF, Sydney Kingsford Smith) had requested for approval of a joint venture coordination agreement with subsidiary Jetstar Airways (JQ, Melbourne Airport) back in June and that request has now been approved by the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission. This will allow Qantas, JetStar Airways as well as Jetstar Asia Airways (Singapore Changi), Jetstar Japan (GK, Tokyo Narita), Jetstar Pacific (Ho Chi Minh City) and new start-up Jetstar Hong Kong (Hong Kong International) to closely coordinate schedules, fares and loyalty plans.
