Skyside (SKV, Vienna) has added a first Global 5000, the company announced on social media. Managing Director Kevin Korcz confirmed to ch-aviation that the jet is configured for 13 passengers and is based in Athens.

The 11.6-year-old aircraft, OE-LGE (msn 9584), was first active under Skyside's 'SKV' code on April 26, flying between St. Maarten and Athens. It has been added to Skyside's air operator's certificate (AOC) and is available for charter.

Previously, it had been the last Global-series aircraft and ultra-long-range jet operated by Tyrolean Jet & Service since 2023. Tyrolean, acquired by Gama Aviation in late 2024, now operates a Citation XLS+, a Phenom 300E, and a Praetor 600, which has been recently inducted. A Citation Jet 1+ and two Citation Jet 2s remain inactive and are listed for sale.

Despite this retirement, Tyrolean's fleet is expected to grow as revealed by Gama Aviation's managing director of aircraft management and charter, Graham Williamson, in an exclusive interview with ch-aviation earlier this year.

This Global 5000 joins another Bombardier Business Aircraft, a Global 6000, in Skyside's fleet, which also comprises a Citation Jet 3+, a Falcon 2000EX EASy, and a Falcon 2000LX. Additionally, Skyside has been wet-leasing an A321-200(PCF) from SmartLynx Airlines Malta for cargo operations since November 2024.

In an exclusive interview with ch-aviation in March 2025, Korcz revealed plans to expand the executive jet fleet, bring freighter operations in-house, and add a second A321 freighter.
