SkyCare Air Ambulance (PHX, Sioux Lookout) has added a first Astra 1125 SP, ch-aviation research reveals.
The 33.6-year-old aircraft, C-FDAX (msn 58), was registered to SkyCare Air Ambulance on May 15. Previously operated by NovaJet and configured for up to seven passengers, it was last active on November 20, 2024, flying under NovaJet's 'NOJ' code between Miramichi and Halifax, where it was based. NovaJet continues to operate a sistership Astra SPX alongside 21 other aircraft.
The newly added Astra 1125 SP is an upgraded type compared to SkyCare Air Ambulance's existing executive jet fleet, which comprises two Westwind 1124s (one currently inactive) and two Westwind 1124As (one also inactive), with an average age of 42.9 years. The company also operates fourteen Piper Aircraft PA-31s, four Swearingen SA226s, and six Swearingen SA227s.
SkyCare Air Ambulance specialises in medical evacuation services and also provides executive charter flights.
