Cargolux (CV, Luxembourg) is now under majority control of the Luxembourg government again after it has acquired back the 35% stake in the scheduled cargo carrier that minority shareholder Qatar Airways (QR, Doha Hamad International) wanted to sell following disagreements with the government over the carrier’s strategy. The government now directly and indirectly owns 56.6% of the cargo operator while the remaining 43.4% are owned by Luxair (LG, Luxembourg) which is turn also is mainly owned by the government and other state owned entities.
