IXAIR (IXR, Paris Le Bourget) has resumed Dassault Aviation operations after a two-month hiatus following the addition of a Falcon 8X, ch-aviation research shows.

The 5.4-year-old trijet, registered in France as F-HLYS (msn 465) on July 30, is configured for up to 14 passengers. It was first active on August 5, flying between Kortrijk and Lyon Grenoble Alpes Isère for a test flight, before ferrying to Lyon Bron where it is now based.

The aircraft was previously operated by FLYINGGROUP (FYG, Antwerp) since new as OO-SBO. It remained active under the company's 'FYG' code until April 18, completing the last two flights for Flying Service on June 10, on a roundtrip between Kortrijk and Bremen Hans Koschnick.

Flying Service's fleet continues to include another Falcon 8X, alongside three Dutch-registered Falcon 7X jets, the baseline platform from which the Falcon 8X was developed, as well as other Bombardier Business Aircraft, Cessna Aircraft Company, Dassault, Honda Aircraft, and Pilatus Aircraft types.

IXAIR's previous only Dassault jet, a Falcon 2000LXS, was also stationed at Lyon Bron before being retired in April. As of August 4, IXAIR’s air operator's certificate (AOC) comprises two Citation Mustangs, a Citation Jet 2+, another Citation Jet 2-series jet with details undisclosed, a Citation Jet 3 parked at Mönchengladbach since January, and a Global Express XRS. It is not yet known whether the newly added Falcon 8X will be placed on the company’s AOC.

Among French AOC holders, currently only Dassault Falcon Service, the manufacturer's business aviation services arm, operates a Falcon 8X.
