ASL Airlines Australia (PH, Sydney Bankstown) took delivery of its second B737-800(BCF) in August 2025 and started operating both aircraft of the type on trans-Tasman services between Australia and New Zealand on behalf of FedEx.

"What started with the arrival of our second B737-800(BCF) has now become reality: dedicated, reliable cargo capacity linking Australia and New Zealand to keep express shipments moving," the airline said in a statement.

The airline began operating trans-Tasman services for FedEx on September 29, 2025. It currently deploys one aircraft on the Christchurch-Auckland International-Brisbane International route, and the other between Auckland and Sydney Kingsford Smith. ASL Airlines Australia used to serve international destinations, including New Zealand, but solely on a charter basis.

Besides the two B737-800(BCF)s, the airline also operates four BAe 146-200(QT)s, three BAe 146-300(QT)s, and two inactive BAe 146-200s. It also has a single E190-E2 on its certificate, as it was due to operate the aircraft on behalf of Air Kiribati.
