Uzbekistan Airways (HY, Tashkent International) has signed separate letters of intent (LOIs) with Chinese lessors CALC and ICBC Financial Leasing for a total of six additional A321-200Ns, the carrier announced in a press release.

The LOI with CALC covers four further units, bringing the airline's commitments with that lessor to six aircraft. It has also agreed to lease two A321-200Ns from ICBC Financial Leasing.

According to the airline, the six newly signed commitments will deliver between 2027 and 2028. Uzbekistan Airways said it expects to operate fifteen A321-200Ns by 2028.

The carrier firmed dry-lease agreements with CALC for its first two A321-200Ns in June, with deliveries scheduled for 2026. In September, it committed to dry-lease two more of the type from SMBC Aviation Capital, also from 2026.

The A321neo fleet will feature 16 business class and 156 economy class seats.
