Starting November 16, Ariana Afghan Airlines (FG, Kabul) started implementing lower tariffs on the export and import of commercial goods on its round-trip flights to Delhi International, following recent instructions from the Afghan government. There are currently 3x weekly frequencies on the route, but this will soon rise to 7x weekly due to demand from traders, with the possibility of launching more routes. The carrier does not expect "much profit" from these operations, but the government has promised to compensate it by cutting service fees by 90%.
According to a spokesman for the airline, the acquisitions of two passenger aircraft and one freighter is being discussed with companies in Türkiye, the United Arab Emirates, Uzbekistan, and Hong Kong.
