Air Canada rouge (RV, Toronto Pearson) will retrofit all the B737 MAX aircraft transitioning to it from the Air Canada mainline fleet during 2026. The updated cabins will feature 12 business class seats, 18 in economy with additional legroom, and 147 standard economy seats. The current configuration is 189 economy seats. In addition, the carrier will open a new rouge crew base at Vancouver International. The low-cost brand expects to add all forty-seven B737-8s in 2026, with four more on order also to be added to its fleet.

In parallel, all A320-200s and A321-200s currently in rouge’s fleet will be moved to Air Canada and upgraded with the latter’s seating configuration and design standard. No update was given on the A319-100s in rouge’s fleet, but Air Canada’s management did say that some aircraft would be retired instead of being moved to the main fleet.
