Drukair (KB, Paro) launched international operations from Gelephu on December 8, 2025, with an inaugural flight to Kolkata. The service is the first scheduled international flight to be operated from the airport. Following the launch, the flag carrier will commence 2x weekly flights on the route from December 12, 2025. Flights will be operated aboard Drukair's 118-seat A319-100s.
