Turkish Airlines (TK, Istanbul Airport) has confirmed that it will launch scheduled flights from Istanbul Airport to Yerevan on March 11, 2026. The airline will initially connect its hub with the Armenian capital daily using narrowbody aircraft, mainly B737-800s. Armenia and Türkiye do not have diplomatic relations and the land border has remained closed since 1993, but the launch of Turkish Airlines' flights has been lauded as an important step towards the normalisation of relations. Pegasus Airlines currently flies daily to Yerevan from Istanbul Sabiha Gökcen, ch-aviation data shows.
