China Airlines (CI, Taipei Taoyuan) has agreed to acquire 69,629,000 shares in China Pacific Catering Services for approximately TWD3.1 billion dollars (USD97.6 million) from non-related parties Aldeburgh Ltd. and Deli Holdings Ltd., the two minority shareholders which own a 22.05% stake in the company each. China Airlines, which already owns a 51% stake in the company, is using its own funds for the deal. The board approved the transaction on January 19 as part of operational future-proofing. The final transaction value will include additional interest calculated upon settlement.
