QantasLink (QLK) has secured its initial three E190s for operating carrier Network Aviation (NWK, Perth International) and will launch a comprehensive cabin upgrade programme for its Airbus fleet to service the Western Australian resources sector through charter and FIFO operations.

The three midlife Embraer jets are scheduled to arrive in late 2026. They are the first of up to fourteen E190s the carrier intends to acquire to replace Network Aviation's F100 fleet. The Fokker Aircraft fleet, which has an average age of 32.6 years, will be phased out in favour of the E190s and A320-200s transferred from Jetstar Asia Airways.

Concurrently, Network Aviation will upgrade its existing fleet of twenty-eight A319-100 and A320-200 aircraft. The refurbishment includes the installation of onboard Wi-Fi across both types, while the A320s will also be fitted with new seats featuring USB charging ports and device holders. The first refurbished aircraft is expected to enter service in late 2026, with the programme set to conclude in early 2027.

QantasLink CEO Mark Dal Pra stated that the "multi-million-dollar investment" underlines the group's commitment to "serving the critical resources sector in Western Australia and connecting regional communities across the state."

Perth International-based Network Aviation currently operates a fleet of 40 aircraft, comprising nine A319-100s, nineteen A320-200s, and twelve F100s, according to ch-aviation data.
