Star Wings Dortmund Luftfahrtgesellschaft (STQ, Dortmund) has added two PC-12 turboprops, including a first PRO variant. The factory-new PC-12 PRO, D-FBGT (msn 3019), ferried between Pilatus Aircraft's Buochs production facilities and Siegen on November 7 under test registration HB-FQR. On December 2, the aircraft began operations as D-FBGT under the carrier's 'STQ' code with a flight to Koblenz, where it is based.
The PC-12 PRO was inducted alongside a 2020-built PC-12NGX, D-FDGA (msn 2053), also stationed at Koblenz. Both aircraft join another PC-12NGX added in October and a Pilatus PC-24 inducted in July, alongside other aircraft, in Star Wings Dortmund's fleet.
The company confirmed to ch-aviation the newly added PC-12s will be available for charter shortly. “Both aircraft are on our air operator's certificate (AOC) as of February 10 and are configured for up to six passengers each.”
