Air China (CA, Beijing Capital) will resume weekly passenger flights between Beijing Capital and Pyongyang from March 30, 2026, restoring a cross-border air link suspended since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020. The resumption follows the restoration of passenger train services between China and North Korea in the same month.

Separately, the state-owned airline will expand long-haul operations from Beijing Daxing International in 2026, with new daily services to Frankfurt International beginning April 28 using B777-300ERs, and to Milan Malpensa from June 13 operated by A330-300s.
