Hainan Airlines (HU, Haikou) has launched a tender to select partners for two international charter routes linking China with Africa, targeting services between Haikou and Antananarivo, and between Guangzhou and Lubumbashi. The airline plans to commence operations during summer and autumn 2026, subject to regulatory approvals. Final schedules, frequencies, and aircraft types will be confirmed separately.

The tender process opened on March 25, 2026, with bid submissions due by April 1. Selected partners will operate under revenue caps set at 110% of charter costs, with excess revenue shared equally.
