Allegiant Air (G4, Las Vegas Harry Reid) will close its base at Bellingham, WA, on November 2, 2026. The airline plans to maintain its existing network from the city using aircraft based elsewhere, without overnight stops. The airport operator acknowledged that among the reasons contributing to the decision was the "challenging operating environment" caused by the drop in the number of Canadian passengers travelling from and to Bellingham. Allegiant Air is the only scheduled carrier with a base at the airport, and currently has a 57.8% market share at the airport by scheduled weekly capacity.
