Alaska Airlines (AS, Seattle Tacoma International) will invest USD135 million in a new maintenance facility at Portland International. The airline said it would support around 100 new jobs at the site, but did not provide details about the capacity. The new maintenance hangar will work alongside the existing MRO facility of regional subsidiary Horizon Air. The Port of Portland approved the investment on April 8, and groundbreaking is expected in the summer of 2026.
