SAM Air (Jakarta Halim) has ordered one Cessna (single turboprop) C208 Grand Caravan from Textron Aviation, the manufacturer said in a press release. The parties, however, did not disclose the delivery timeline or the financial terms of the transaction.
The company will deploy the aircraft across Indonesia for cargo, logistics, passenger services, charter operations, weather modification, and public service obligation.
The airline, which was acquired by Jakarta-based logistics company Yasa Artha Trimanunggal in 2024, currently operates a fleet of one C208, one C208B EX, and one DHC-6-300, according to the Indonesian civil aircraft registry.
SAM Air holds a valid air operator's certificate (AOC-064) in Indonesia.
