China will open two new domestic regional airports, Bengbu Tenghu and Tongren Dejiang, in the second quarter of 2026. Bengbu Tenghu will commence operations on April 29, 2026, with a Donghai Airlines (DZ, Shenzhen) flight from Shenzhen. The same airline will then link it with Dalian on May 1. The airport features a 2,600-metre runway and can handle 950,000 passengers annually.

Tongren Dejiang will open on May 18, after clearing pre-flight inspections on April 15. Colorful Guizhou Airlines (GY, Guiyang) will operate the first scheduled flight to the facility from Guiyang, deploying an E190 on the route 3x weekly. The airport cost CNY2.2 billion yuan (USD320 million) and has a 550,000 annual passenger capacity.
