ITA Airways (AZ, Rome Fiumicino) will resume its scheduled passenger service between Rome Fiumicino and Tripoli Mitiga from September 3, 2026. Flights will operate 2x weekly on an A319-100. The route, which last operated during 2025, was suspended in October of that year. With this service, the Lufthansa subsidiary remains the only airline in the European Union to operate flights to Libya.
