Mexicana (XN, México City Felipe Angeles) took delivery of its first E190-E2 on May 2, 2026, the company announced in a statement. XA-MXF (msn 19020219) flew from São José dos Campos U.E. Stumpf International to Mexico City via Manaus International, ADS-B data shows.

With the arrival of this aircraft, Mexicana’s fleet currently comprises five E195-E2s and one E190-E2. According to the airline’s planning, it expects to receive six additional E190-E2s throughout 2026. Each will have a capacity for 108 passengers.

Then, in 2027, Mexicana will receive eight aircraft (three E190-E2s and five E195-E2s), completing its order placed at Embraer in 2024 for twenty E2 family jets.

Mexicana launched operations in late 2023, initially with a wet-leased fleet of three B737-800s from the Mexican Air Force (Fuerza Aérea Mexicana) and two E145s from TAR México. The goal of the military-run company is to have a fleet of 50 aircraft by 2050.
