Singapore Airlines (SQ, Singapore Changi) will launch 5x weekly Singapore Changi-Barcelona El Prat-Madrid Barajas flights on October 26, 2026, subject to regulatory approvals, making Madrid its 15th European destination and second in Spain. The new route, which will be operated by the A350-900 fleet, will replace the current 2x weekly nonstop Singapore-Barcelona service and a 3x weekly Singapore-Milan Malpensa-Barcelona service that will end from October 27. Barcelona will become an intermediate stop on the Madrid service and will not be served on a standalone basis.
