Gama Aviation (San Marino) has received San Marino air operator's certificate (AOC) #SM-007 in line with plans outlined by deputy managing director for aircraft management and charter Philipp Schuster in an exclusive interview with ch-aviation in early 2026. The AOC number matches the one previously held by TJS San Marino, but Schuster confirmed it is a new document, not a reactivation of the old certificate. The AOC was secured with a 2001-built, five-seat Citation Jet 1, T7-5MM (msn 525-0435), based at Munich Augsburg. The aircraft has operated under Gama Aviation San Marino's 'GSR' code since April 29.
In the interview, Schuster cited strong demand, particularly in the Middle East, as the main driver behind the decision to establish a San Marino AOC. The company plans to induct two G280s by mid-2026, both to be available for charter.
