Taiwan's Administrative Enforcement Agency will re-auction one MD-83, B-28027 (msn 53603), on June 2, 2026, for a starting price of TWD4.1 million new Taiwan dollars (USD130,000). The now-defunct Far Eastern Air Transport (Taipei Songshan), which operated the jet until its collapse in 2019, owes over TWD40 million (USD1.3 million) in parking fees and penalties at Taipei Taoyuan. The permanently grounded aircraft lacks an airworthiness certificate. A previous auction attempt set a TWD8 million (USD254,000) base price but received no bids.
