France's Ministry of Transport has cut passenger air transport tax on the country's PSO routes, outlined in an order published on May 31, 2026. Effective June 1, the tax is reduced by 65%, from EUR7.40 euros (USD8.60) to EUR2.63 (USD3.06), applicable on 26 air routes in mainland France and between mainland France and the island of Corsica.
According to ch-aviation data, the carriers currently operating the PSO routes are Chalair Aviation, awarded in May 2023; Volotea awarded in February 2022; easyJet Europe; Twin Jet; and Air Corsica awarded in November 2023. The link between Brest Bretagne and Ouessant is currently not operated.
