The Swedish Air Force took delivery of two Global 6500s on June 1. The two ultra-long-range jets were handed over by the defence procurement agency, Försvarets Materielverk, which received both aircraft in late 2025. The Global 6500s, with manufacturer serial numbers 60148 and 60178 and built in 2024 and 2025, were formerly placed in the Swedish civilian register as SE-DRO and SE-DRP, respectively. Both were reregistered on May 8 under military markings, expected to be 106148/064 and 106178/065.

Acquired under a SEK1.1 billion kronor (USD117 million) contract, the Bombardier Business Aircraft will replace the current Swedish VIP fleet operated by the air force, comprising a 2000-built GIV-SP (Tp102C) and a 2011-produced G550 (Tp102D).
