Finnair (AY, Helsinki Vantaa) will restart limited domestic services from Helsinki Vantaa to Turku and Tampere in October 2026, moving away from a strategy of serving these cities only with buses, which has been in place since 2022-2023. The airline will operate direct overnight services to both regional cities, and also add Tampere as a stop on the afternoon service from Oulu, and Turku similarly as a stop on the service from Stockholm Arlanda. All flights will be served by NoRRA Nordic Regional Airlines with ATR72-500s. Bus services from Helsinki airport will continue during the daytime.
