An unnamed non-governmental organisation has become the first confirmed customer for the Do228-200(NXT), an upgraded version of the legacy Do228-200 turboprop manufactured by General Atomics AeroTec. "The aircraft will be delivered to the launch customer in early 2027. This confirms that the decision to further develop the Do228 NXT and resume production was the right one," managing director Florian Rohe said. The new version of the 19-seater was rolled out in early June 2026, but has yet to begin test flights.
