The Civil Aviation Authority Bahamas (CAA-B) has suspended the air operator’s certificate (AOC) of Flamingo Air (Freeport International), following a fatal Cessna 402 crash on July 10, which killed all ten people onboard.

“The suspension will remain in effect pending the outcome of the authority’s investigation,” the authority said in a statement. The aircraft involved in the accident was C6-FLX (msn 402C0628) and was flying from Nassau International to San Andros at the time of the crash.

ch-aviation fleets data shows Flamingo Air’s fleet comprises four Beech 99s, one DHC-6-200, and two C402s.

In a statement to local media, Flamingo Air said: “At this ⁠time, ​the details are being gathered, ​and we are committed to cooperating with the relevant authorities.”
