Korean Air (KE, Seoul Incheon) has entered an agreement with Bombardier Business Aircraft to acquire two Global 6500s for conversion into electronic warfare aircraft for the Republic of Korea Air Force. The aircraft, which will be developed by South Korea's LIG Defense & Aerospace, are scheduled to enter service by 2034 and will perform EW missions, specifically stand-off jamming to disrupt electromagnetic signals.

The new deal follows an agreement announced in late 2025 covering four Global 6500s for Seoul's airborne early warning and control programme, another special mission initiative.
