Air Niugini (PX, Port Moresby) will resume 3x weekly flights between Port Moresby and Auckland International on November 17, 2026, restoring a route it last served in 1998. The carrier said it would initially deploy B737-800s before switching to A220s in 2027 as further aircraft are delivered. The Auckland relaunch follows the recent resumption of 2x weekly Port Moresby-Tokyo Narita flights, a route that had last been served in 2020.
