Binter Canarias (NT, Gran Canaria) has ordered five incremental E195-E2s directly from Embraer, with four additional purchase rights. The parties did not disclose the delivery timeline for the aircraft. The airline already operates 16 units of the type, and had no unfilled orders prior to the new commitment. Binter Canarias has been using the E2s primarily to expand from its legacy market between the Canary Islands to connect the archipelago with destinations in continental Europe. It currently serves 21 destinations in mainland Spain, three in Africa, and Ponta Delgada in Portugal's Azores using the existing fleet of E2s.
